25 de novembro de 2018Após quase 17 anos como vocalista da banda Vera Loca, o cantor e compositor gaúcho Fabrício Beck lança seu primeiro álbum solo “Fabrício Beck & Bando Alabama”. O trabalho une blues, rock e folk em 10 faixas, sendo nove autorais e uma releitura blueseira do clássico samba “As Rosas Não Falam”, de Cartola. O disco está disponível em todas as plataformas de música digital.

Com a Vera Loca, foram cinco álbuns de estúdio, dois ao vivo e um DVD e o posto de um dos destaques no rock gaúcho nesse começo do século XXI. Aproveitando o momento de hiato do seu projeto principal, Beck se dedicou a tirar do papel a sua estreia solo. O blues era uma grande inspiração para o artista, e a ideia de um álbum inteiro dedicado ao gênero foi incentivada pelo dono do maior festival de blues da América Latina, Toyo Bagoso, que sempre admirou os blues autorais da Vera. Neste novo projeto, Beck é acompanhado por uma banda formada por Sergio Selbach no contrabaixo, Marcelo Garcia na guitarra solo e Clark Carballo na bateria.
“Sinto que chegou o momento de mostrar essas músicas para as pessoas, elas não aguentavam mais ficar na gaveta e eu também sempre acreditei que elas tinham que voar. Quanto ao tempo que levou para isso, penso que foi o tempo suficiente”, reflete Fabrício. “A Vera, por ser uma banda, são 5 pessoas compondo, arranjando, criando… Esse álbum é fruto de apenas minhas composições, sem fusão de ideias como numa banda”.
A jornada de Beck na música acontece a partir dos 3 anos de idade, quando ele iniciou aulas de piano. À medida que foi crescendo, aprendeu novos instrumentos e começou a cantar. Desde os 8 anos de idade, Fabrício leva sua voz como principal modo de expressão. Com o amigo tecladista Diego Dias, fundou uma banda na adolescência e despertou para a composição, tendo faixas com bastante destaque em Santa Maria, cidade onde morava.
“Alguns anos depois, já na faculdade, veio aquela convicção de largarmos tudo e partir para Porto Alegre e começarmos a viver da nossa música. Metade da banda voltou para Santa Maria pouco depois, e logo começamos a montar uma outra que virou a Vera Loca”

No novo álbum, ele une as influências roqueiras que já carregava em sua banda, com artistas como Buddy Guy, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Celso Blues Boy, Bebeco Garcia, Garotos da Rua e a fase inicial do Barão Vermelho.
“Existe uma frase, que não é minha, mas gosto muito de citá-la. ‘Não escolhemos o blues, o blues te escolhe’. Sou uma pessoa muito emotiva, sempre gostei de músicas carregadas, o que não significa músicas depressivas, que eu não gosto mesmo. Blues, para mim, é um estado de espírito. O importante sempre foi fazer músicas que as pessoas gostem de tocar, cantar… Letras que narrem trajetos, histórias, que toquem”
