Joe. é um power trio de Punk Rock de Belo Horizonte formado em meados de 2015. Naquele ano Paula Silveira, vocalista e guitarrista, divulgava suas composições em versão acústica na internet a procura de integrantes. Fez algumas tentativas aleatórias com baixistas e bateristas, mas até então ninguém havia captado a ideia de seu projeto. Então no ano de 2016, com todas as composições já definidas, ela decidiu gravar um EP demonstrativo para encontrar músicos que se interessassem pelo som e que, consequentemente, engrenassem ao projeto com novas ideias. Este, que tem influências diretas dos anos 80 e 90. Bandas como JoyDivision, Stiff Little Fingers, Replicantes, Nirvana, Holee Distillers tiveram importância crucial nas composições, mesclando então apassion do punk, o rage do grunge e o niilismo do pós-punk, este último, principalmente nas letras.
O EP foi lançado em Junho de 2016, com o nome Joe. – Primeiro Ato. Com cinco faixas autorais em português, com todos arranjos de bateria, guitarra, baixo e vocais criados e executados na gravação por Paula Silveira.
Assim ela deu continuidade a procura, e por volta de um mês, encontrou dois integrantes para fechar um trio. Jhonathan Ferreira assumiu o baixo e os backings como experiência, já que até então era guitarrista em seu outro projeto: The Garden. Paulinho Nascimento assumiu a bateria e Paula Silveira permaneceu como guitarrista e vocalista.
Logo, após um mês com todas as músicas ensaiadas, incluindo outras inéditas que vieram a integrar a DEMO – Escute Isso !, lançada em Agosto de 2016, a Joe deu inicio a sua mini turnê de divulgação do som ! Fizeram em média de dez shows entre Setembro e Outubro, em lugares como Espaço Rock Bar, Berimbau, AzuinRock Bar, Pampulha Rock 2016, eventos em Pista de SK8 e também tiveram a oportunidade de tocar na cidade de Itabira – Mirante Cara de Pau – ao lado das bandas RagDolls, Suborno e Mata Burro.
Durante esses dois meses de shows, com muita divulgação na internet, a Joe teve o prazer de ser convidada para participar de uma coletânea, produzida pelo estúdio KapitanUndergound e Ganmit (Suborno e Consciência Suburbana). A coletânea denominada BH do Barulho concedeu duas faixas. Homophobia e New Song 2 (DEMO Escute Isso) para representar a Joe. Mais outras três bandas fizeram parte desta coletânea: RagDolls, Consciência Suburbana e Drástiko.
No final de outubro, Jhonatan Ferreira anunciou sua saída da Joe., por motivos pessoais. Permanecendo assim como power duo a Joe., na mesma época recebeu o convite de lançar seu primeiro vídeo clipe com o single Homophobia (Coletânea BH do Barulho), este foi lançado simultaneamente com a Coletânea em dezembro de 2016. Um projeto doado pelo irmão da vocalista que estava concluindo a Faculdade de Cinema na época.
Após o falecimento do mesmo um pouco depois, Paula Silveira aproveitou algumas imagens do processo de gravação do single Homophobia, do vídeo clipe e bastidores de show, assim como entrevistas de LGBT. E lançou um documentário em homenagem póstumo com o nome HOMOPHOBIA THE MAKING OF.
Atualmente está em pré-produção do novo single-vídeo-clipe DESACATO com nova formação: Krüger Noderlens nas baquetas depois da saída de Paulinho Nascimento no segundo semestre de 2017. E Peups, que assumiu as quatro cordas no primeiro semestre de 2018. AGUARDE, vem ai muitas novidades!!
